Fuad M. Yahya:
I am a professional
freelancer providing
translation and other language and cross-cultural services.
I have native fluency and a very high level of literacy
in both Arabic and English.
My 22 years of translation experience include 11 years in medical translation
and
interpreting at the
University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
I hold a BA in philosophy
from the
University of St. Thomas, Houston, Texas,
where I also studied music. I have had additional studies in science and engineering at
King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in
Dhahran,
Saudi Arabia.
My translation proficiency has been
certified by the
Language Training and Assessment Unit
of the FBI, and my medical terminology proficiency has been certified by
BrainBench
(R).
I am a member of the
American Translators Association (ATA),
Houston Interpreters and Translators Association (HITA),
and
ProZ.com,
where I served as moderator of the English-Arabic sub-community
until 2007.
I live and work in the
First Colony district of the
City of Sugar Land, a suburb of
Houston in
Fort Bend County,
Texas. I frequently travel on translation,
interpreting, and cultural orientation assignments in the United States and

Qatif,
